Still one of the nation's top rated PG -- Larry Austin is proudly discussing his Bradley offer...
He just helped his team, Springfield Lanphier, to the title of the Decatur Thanksgiving Tourney and was the Tourney MVP...beating Peoria Central 61-45,
and Springfield Southeast 73-65.
..but admittedly he seems to be leaning to Illinois...his team plays Manual December 10th..in Champaign...Comment

Larry Austin says he has a Top Five - names Illinois as part of that top five then lists 3 others that he likes that have offered - Bradley, DePaul, Memphis...
he also talks about being a big fan of North Carolina - but...has yet to get an offer from them..

Maybe, but I predict his stock will rise in the next two years, already getting serious looks from Illinois and Mizzou (offer?). Just a sense that he'll probably try and go somewhere as high profile as possible.Comment

Great -- he still lists BRADLEY prominently there among the big boys!!
Also Larry says the Illini have dropped off a bit but aren't out of contention...

Update on Larry Austin, Jr. who BU was and still is very interested in...
(and who Bruce Weber & Jarrance Howard are also very hard after..)
At one time Illinois was also strong after Austin, Jr. - but it appears from this current story...
that now John Groce and Illinois have maybe dropped off in their efforts to land him even tho he might be the best guard available in the state....
as after watching him several times - they still haven't offered.

I think he should pick Bradley, stay close to home, be part of something special, talk his buddy Peyton Allen into choosing Bradley also, and then have a great career.
But I think we're a long, longshot - and that it'll be between Illinois, Mizzou, SMU, and KSU and I think his prior relationship with Bruce Weber will be the key and he will choose K-State.
Bruce Weber has been sitting in the stands at Larry's games since middle school!Comment
