If either Allen or Austin end up at BU...

        wow

If Geno can get him on campus i would be shocked..didnt he make the USA 16 and under team and from what Im hearing will be a top 100 in the country as well..I know he got Payten Allen to come up which was a shocker but this would be even more impressive. It is safe to say that things have changed on the hilltop.

gerry - I agree things have changed, but to suggest that BU has never had Top 100 kids visit the Hilltop is a bit inaccurate.
I can readily think of at least EIGHT or NINE in just the past 4-5 years, including the following - but JL always kept recruiting close to the vest, so I am confident there were MORE but they didn't get trumpeted on Twitter, Facebook, and in the PJS when they came to Peoria..........

A TOP 20 kid (Iman Shumpert) (Link - and Bradley was still in Shumpert's final FIVE schools along with Clemson, Ga Tech, Marquette, &UNC),

another TOP 25 kid Chasson Randle was very interested in BU and visited twice!!,
and several top 100 kids (Courtney Lee (his final two were BU & WKU),
Shelvin Mack (came down to Butler & BU),
Lewis Jackson (whose two finalists were BU and Purdue),
          Dwight Buycks,
          Nick Fruendt,
          Chris Colvin
          ,
          DJ Richardson
          ,
          Marcellus Sommerville,
          Wesley Witherspoon (rose to 4-Star),
even Jordan Prosser was still ranked #135 when he came to BU - and even Donivine visited BU when he was top -100)
and believe it or not, even the #1 overall player in the nation in 2004) said a few weeks before he announced, that Bradley was still in the mix.

Other Top 100-150 kids who have visited Bradley include Ben Brust, Brandon Spearman, Devan Bawkinkel, Ahmad Starks, Kyle Kuric, Vee Sanford, Michael Haynes, Josh Gasser, Jamarcus Ellis, Robert Eppinger, Stan Simpson, & Ryne Smith.
At least TWO other Top 100's had their visits planned and would have come except for complications - Darius Smith, Diamond Taylor..
BTW -- National Player of the Year Evan Turner came several times to Bradley and considered transferring, and came very close but stayed at Ohio State.

Lastly -- I think it is only fair that you concede this fact as well --
much of the recent success in landing Shayok, Hodges, Crawford, and...
in getting numerous top recruits to visit was BECAUSE of contacts and connections
that were ALREADY in place from the prior staff "on the Hilltop" ..am I correct gerry??
Also - a kid who just rose to the Top 50 - Semaj Christon visited BU a couple years ago..

              Not saying

Tornado never stated that Bradley has not had a top 100 player visit before...just saying that both Austin and Allen could be top 100 in the nation and visited Bradley..have not heard either of them visit any other mid major programs...Shayok, Hodges and Crawford are all Geno's guys, Nate wells is from JL. And also some of those guys in those rankings really were over rated..some time rankings are way off.

so you don't think the fact that Shayok Shayok was friends with Walt Lemon in high school in Chicago, and the fact that Willie Scott said himself he'd been tracking JC for months, and that in April of 2010 I had heard BU may be recruiting Devon Hodges....is any evidence that some groundwork was already there...?
I know Geno landed them and I am happy he did, but I had heard all three names well before Geno left KSU

Here's an article from 2010 mentioning Shayok already had an offer from Bradley

Dave Reynolds has just tweeted that Larry Austin is visiting Bradley tomorrow on a unofficial visit..Geno Ford strikes again...sure Larry will not be visiting any other mid majors...Again we are ahead of the other mid majors.

                    Here is Dave's blog-
Lanphier star Austin to visit Bradley

And an article to appear tomorrow in the newspaper. BTW, the picture shows Springfield Lanphier's Larry Austin being guarded by another BU recruit Peyton Allen of Chatham Glenwood HS.-

Several fine players including Austin & Peyton Allen all scheduled to play in what sounds like a great Springfield Shootout on Dec. 3
