OK - I'll be the first to ask...how come we keep losing our recruiting target to the Big Ten?

Alex Foster becomes another near miss - he signs with Minnesota...

the other two parts of the BIG THREE have yet to sign...
Jabari Parker will commit & sign in the spring - however there are rumors that he may take a Mormon mission trip which will occupy 2 years then he can go straight to the NBA if he stays in shape.

The other part of that legendary junior hi trio - Tommy Hamilton - is at IMG putting up unimpressive numbers.

One time BU recruit Alex Foster officially decommits from Minnesota in the wake of Tubby Smith's firing.

Are we on him? I heard (can't remember where, sorry) that DePaul and BU could be targets for him.

This was the only mention I am aware of-

Foster will get other interest, and some offers will be from some Top 25 schools.

Alex Foster would be a great pick-up for BU... I just don't know if we'll wait for that chip to fall.

Can Alex Foster play the 5 spot? It lists him as a PF, but those seem to centers in the Valley anyway. He seems to have a good perimeter shot from videos I've seen.

Any chance we can get this kid?

Foster played the 5 all through his HS career and probably could at the D1 level, but he has been recruited as college 3 or 4.

I don't know if we are recruiting him.

I saw the 2 games in Peoria and agree. He appeared to be the 3rd or 4th best player on the Seton team and was shut down by much shorter kids on Harrisburg who's basketball careers ended with the state championship game.

At least he's been playing a lot of competitive basketball -
the three guys we have signed have all played only a handful of games over the past two years...

I think that only matters from a fan's perspective. Coaches see a lot more from film and on campus workouts than we might get watching a kid play in the state tournament. Players can play.

I don't know - when we landed Stemler, DeAaron, and Jassey - the big knock on all of them was their lack of actively playing ball..ultimately the "knocks" were right...

Two of those 3 were not D-1 players to begin with. I'm not worried about how many games they've played or haven't played. If they're players that can contribute is all I care about. I've seen enough of the others the last couple of years.
