I would love to see AJ play for BU. I've never seen him play but what I've heard about him and plus being local would be great for the program."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

some really nice words on AJ Riley out of Chicago based on his AAU play...
Listed as one of the MOST impressive...
"A.J. Riley from Peoria Manual played great this spring. He has taken over point
guard duties on the Illinois Wolves. I saw him just take over at times. He goes to
the hoop and scores, and he is improving his point guard skills. He is a guy on
the rise."
Meanwhile the Chicago-centric Sun Times practically ignored AJ and lists their Top 16 players in the Class of 2013 and leaves AJ out altogether!

Former BU recruit and Manual player A.J. Riley has transferred and will play his senior season at la Lumiere Prep in LaPorte, Indiana.
An Indiana scouting service has just ranked him the #8 best available senior in the state of Indiana-
Note that 3 of his La Lumiere teammates are ranked among the top 5 players in the state.

As basketball crazy as both Indiana and Kentucky are they are both typically weak when it comes to high school basketball talent. This could be a good chance for Riley to get more attention and stand out.

there are years that's true - and it may be relatively true for Riley's Class of 2013 where Indiana is a bit weaker than Illinois.......
but the past few years - Indiana has been loaded....really deep such that even the 15-20th ranked kids are getting top D-I offers....
Indiana's Class of 2012 had EIGHT kids who were 4-Star or 5-STAR recruits....and another 10 who were 3-Star - all of whom got solid D-I offers -
Indiana's Class of 2011 had THREE guys in the National Top 20 (Zeller, Dawsen, Teague)
By comparison Illinois' Class of 2012 had zero 5-Star kids and only 1-or-2 4-Star (depends on which rating service)

A.J. Riley withdrew from La Lumirere Prep School today, and will be returning back to Peoria. The reason given was "homesick". I do not know if his transfer this late after the school season began could affect his eligibility to play his senior season here.

I am told that Peoria Notre Dame High School tuition is over $4000 yearly even for those who are active & contribute in their parish congregations and who get a lower tuition than others...and ranges up over $5000 per year for many who get no subsidies..
I believe this differs slightly from Manual...
