    Anyone remember Markus Crider??

BU really wanted him but he went to prep school instead hoping for BIGGER & BETTER offers....

A recent premium article said he had a "good year" but not a particularly great year - and oddly the offers did NOT come!!

    Here's what he boasts now...
"I haven’t narrowed it down at all. I have been hearing from a lot of schools.
Some of them are St. Bonaventure, Iona, George Mason, and Georgia State.
Those are the ones that called me most recently.”

Right now Crider is planning an official visit to Georgia State, and then hopes
to visit some of his other top schools afterwards."

So - he turned down Providence, Bradley, and a few other biggies and is now left visiting Georgia State & a couple other eastern mid-majors...

I think he still may have the talent if he's willing to come to Peoria -- hopefully Geno still has his phone number...
BTW -- St. Bonaventure & Providence going hard after Michigan's Evan Smotrycz - so may not be as hot for Mislav & Markus.

and same with Coty Clarke with one of his offers - Southern Miss - maybe being up in the air if Larry Eustachy going to Colorado State

Are we still in on Crider? If Brzola, Ward, and the other options don't pan out, I think Crider would be a nice get. We need a talented forward who can score.

He reopened his recruitment when he was getting Big East and other top offers...and decided to go the prep school route..
He did not have a great year and recruiting fell off..........
latest word is he's sorting thru a bunch of LOW major offers - St. Bonaventure, Iona, etc...
..although some late interest might develop from bigger schools like Nebraska as the spring frenzy heats up for coaches with open scholarships (like BU, SIU, Illinois, K-State, Nebraska, etc..)
New Nebraska coaches Tim Miles and Ben Johnson found a familiar target still available for Nebraska's 2012 class. Find out what Markus Crider thinks about Nebraska.

Markus Crider - one time BU recruit...who was a pretty hot commodity last fall when he decommitted from Providence - but he chose the prep school route,
and unlike a lot of kids who blow up after the prep school move - Crider virtually disappeared.........

Now he has decided..........and lands at Georgia State...
              Markus Crider (33) Forward - ATHLETIC HONORS• 2015 Sun Belt All-Tournament Team• 2015-16 All-Sun Belt Preseason Second Team• Career Record: Games

Georgia State ought to be pretty good if they can be coached...they have several talented 3-Star kids..including a few who were McDonald's AA nominees...
RJ Hunter, Curtis Washington, Manny Atkins, Cameron Solomon, Devonta White, Kevin Shaw, LaRon Smith, and Crider...

They would have even had one 4-STAR kid - #51 ranked Tony Kimbro, Jr....were it not for this....LINK
