recruit
It does not sound like there is much interest on the recruits behalf IMO!! Only his coach saying that Bradley had a spot open and Geno saying if he wants to visit we will bring him tomorrow!!! Did Geno actually talk to this kid or did we just make an initial call to open doors? Is that actively recruiting?

Northwestern is now recruiting Crider.
The 6-6 forward holds offers from Akron, Providence, Wisconsin, and others, but is getting a lot of late interest. Northwestern, Colorado, Bradley, and VCU have all expressed interest in extending an offer. For now, Crider is waiting to hear from those schools.
Meanwhile, Crider is evaluating his options.
???It??™s an even playing field,??? said Markus Crider.

This would be a huge get for our class... He could see some immediate playing time... Go get 'Em Geno!
He apparently tweeted about where he was visiting.. And Geno snuck in the list after that. Love that. Geno is a far better recruiter than I expected. Even if we don't end up with Crider, he is getting in the door and doing good work...
Hopefully we'll see Crider in a BU uni soon!

Crider would be a great get for Geno. You gotta love the fact he is so focused on getting talent it seems the top assistant job opening has taken a back seat. Crider would be a perfect fit for Geno's wide open offense with his athleticism and has to be one of the top players still available in the country. A huge statement if we can beat out 2 Big Ten (Northwestern, Wisconsin) , 1 Big East (Providence) , 2011 Final Four (VCU) and Big 12 (Colorado) teams for Crider's services.

One of the other schools recruiting Crider is Colorado. They have gotten in on him late, but being a Big 12 school might be appealing to MC.
Today, a 3-star guard Colorado was recruiting committed to Towson-
This could mean they go harder after MC. But he may not want to travel that far away from home and family. Also, Colorado has already signed a couple recruits in this 2011 class who are similar to Crider. So playing time could be an issue at Colorado.
VCU may be out of the picture after Crider cancelled a visit there this past weekend.
The other school that is strongly in the recruiting picture is Northwestern. But Northwestern would probably want him to redshirt, so immediate playing time, which is very important to Crider, is an advantage for Bradley.
