Bingo. David Collins came to Bradley from Missouri State-West Plains Community College in Missouri, but he grew up in Toronto, and prepped at Emery Collegiate Institute in Toronto. In 2004 he helped lead his team to the Ontario 3AAA championship. At West Plains CC he averaged 8.5 ppg and 6.9 rpg his sophomore season (2006-2007). He was Jim Les' only Canadian recruit and played from 2007-2009. He just finished his season playing in Europe for ENAD, a professional team in Cyprus.
His team finished out of the playoffs, but David had a good year averaging 9.8 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 1.8 blocks per game.
Canadians:
(I count seven total) Shayok Shayok David Collins James Gillingham Jason Faulknor Jerome Robinson Stevan Marcetic Dan Secli
Correction. There have been 6 Canadians who have played for Bradley: Dan Secli was a Dick Versace recruit. He came in 1979 but redshirted his first season due to a serious knee injury he suffered in a high school all star game. He played in 1 game in 1980, reinjured his knee, and retired from competetive basketball.
Stevan Marcetic played from 2002-2003
Jerome Robinson played from 1997-2001
Jason Faulknor played from 2000-2004
James Gillingham played from 2000-2004
David Collins played from 2007-2009
All were from the Toronto area (Guelph is about 60 miles from Toronto), and all except Collins and Secli were Jim Molinari recruits.
