It is being announced that Morton's Brett Bisping will not attempt to come back this year
and will take a medical redshirt and be back in the fall with 2 years of eligibility remaining
Morton's Brett Bisping is having a pretty good redshirt junior season so far at Siena. Tonight, he contributed 16 points and 16 rebounds to a Siena win over a pretty good Bucknell team at Bucknell.
He had 24 & 7 last Saturday, and is averaging 13 points and 8 rebounds per game. Siena is 3-2 now, with their 2 losses to Duke and Wisconsin.
Morton's Brett Bisping, a redshirt junior at Siena, just keeps putting up awesome numbers. He scored 27 points, and pulled down 18 rebounds last night in Siena's win over Marist.
Box score for the Siena Saints vs. Marist Red Foxes NCAAM game from January 30, 2016 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
Siena is now 15-7, and 8-3 in their conference. He is now averaging 15.7 ppg and 9.3 rpg.
Geno Ford refused to recruit Bisping, who wanted to come to Bradley, and believed he was not athletic enough to play for him. When was the last time any Bradley player had 18 rebounds?
Another local recruit who the previous staff refused to recruit and did not think was athletic enough to play, Washington's Alec Peters, who also wanted an offer from Bradley, had 18 points & 7 rebounds in just 21 minutes of playing time last night in a huge 97-68 blowout win over Youngstown State. Valparaiso is now 19-4, and leading the Horizon League at 9-1. Peters, just a junior, will probably win POY in the Horizon. He averages 17.1 ppg and 7.8 rpg and he shoots 46% from three!
Box score for the Valparaiso Beacons vs. Youngstown State Penguins NCAAM game from January 30, 2016 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.

Jimmy Gavin went for 29 points, 3 rebs, 3 asst last night
Bisping now already has over 1000 points in his college career and still has the rest of this season and all next season to add to it..
He should, if he stays healthy, end up somewhere around 1500-1700 pts for a very fine DI career.
It is also possible he could reach the 1000 rebound mark which is even more impressive...
He will end this season around 700 and has almost 300 for his junior season.
Here's what's impressive about that...
only TWO Bradley Braves in all of history have grabbed 1000 rebounds in their careers (Chet Walker 1,036 and Dick Estergard 1,414).
For comparison- Bisping - if he gets close to 700 by the end of his JUNIOR SEASON at Siena - he'd have enough that he'd place 9th on Bradley's All Time list ahead of DONALD REESE!
