Here's something we never see...the ilprepbullseye guys actually admitting they were wrong...in the context of Nick Zeisloft...

"We have to admit that until now we have been scratching our heads a bit
over the hype surrounding 6'4 class of 2011 shooting guard Nick Zeisloft from
Lyons Township High School in Lagrange, IL. That is not the case any longer
after watching him at the Illinois Spot-Lite Fall Showcase. In fact, Zeisloft is
even better than we initially realized and is unquestionably a mid-major
prospect. Zeisloft is a tremendous shooter with range that extends all the
way out to the NBA three-point line. However, he is much more than that
and is far from being one-dimensional. He also has outstanding ball skills, as
his handle is quite solid and he has also shown the ability to create off the
dribble. We also like Zeisloft's passing ability (particularly on the break) and
he simply has a great overall feel for the game.

While Zeisloft has received recruiting interest from Bradley and has also taken an unofficial visit to DePaul, we believe that at this time the leader for his services is Illinois State.

ISU lands Zeisloft...he'll gobble up one of their 2011 scholarships (Kellen Thornton just left one behind)

          He says he got...
"heavy interest from UIC and Eastern Kentucky while also hearing from DePaul, Arizona State, Bradley, Loyola and Iowa."

..He did not visit any other schools -- he chose ISU right after his visit there this past weekend.
Zeisloft is listed as 6-4 ...and his AAU coach describes him...
"Everyone needs a shooter,” said Pratt. “He has no fear. He’s a gunslinger. He walks into a gym and he’s looking to take shots. It’s great. Everyone needs a guy like Nick.”

          Zeisloft says this about ISU...
"I’ve seen film,” said Zeisloft. “They’ve broken the 3-point record twice in three years. Maybe I can help them break it again.”

ISU's overall 3-pt shooting pct. last year was not good- 32.7% 10th in the MVC

Zeisloft is not listed by scout.com- and he is not in the database at Rivals.com

BTW-- did you see where Indiana now has its 2nd recruit from the Class of 2014??
Wow, that's landing them early -- those two kids haven't even dressed for a single high school game yet and already have verballed......this'll be interesting..

Bradley was interested, but not have offered a scholarship, according to the articles.
Here he reports that his only other offers were from UIC and Eastern Kentucky. He had interest from DePaul, Arizona State, Bradley and Loyola.-

Let's not forget we just picked up a 3-star athlete from Kentucky who's a leading candidate for Mr. Basketball in the state. Yeah - would've been good to pick up a prime 3-pt. shooter. I'd take RA ahead of this dude.
If we have a good season, our last schollie will be a good one for 2011.
No need to worry. Let's focus on the season to come. Good things ahead if we take care of business.

Not rated in the Scout database (although they do rate 33 other 2011 IL prospects).
Not listed in the Rivals database (although they do list 44 other 2011 IL prospects).
Not listed in the ESPN database (although they do list 80 other 2011 IL prospects).

There is under the radar, and there is nearly invisible. If he committed to BU, I would be a bit skeptical.

                  On a side note:
My cousin covers the West Suburban Conference for a prep website (including all sports). He isn't a scout by any means, but told me that BU was scounting Sololewski (committed to Northwestern) and Kaminsky (committed to Wisconsin) before it was ever reported by actual press and keeps an eye out for suburban kids that BU is recruiting.

I emailed him this morning to see if Zeisloft was on his radar, he said he saw him play twice last year. Here is his response:

"lights out 3pt shooter with a decent shot selection...you can't teach this type of accuracy...slow release and needs to be about 3 feet behind the arc to get his shot off despite his 6'3 height...fundamentally sound defender, good footwork and angles, but cannot keep up with most guards, gets beat to the hole consistently due to a slow first step...could survive in a zone defense, but not enough athleticism/too slow to be anything more than a defensive liability at the DI level."
