I don't think people understand this because of the quality of our guards, but for 2011, we currently have 5 guards compared to 7 big men.
What I understand is that we are pretty set with quality in the guard position. I think our big guys are still developing and we need more inside help. I am OK with big 6'-4" to 6'-7" guards since they could be played at forward if needed. But I don't want any more 6'-0" or 6'-1" guards I am confident with who we have.
Again, Bradley never offered a scholarship to this kid, so it would be wrong to suggest Bradley lost out on him.
And Rice? Rice finished 12th out of the 12-team Conference USA last year. They were 8-23, 1-15 in conference, and do not look a whole lot better this year. We wish him good luck at Rice.
Aw DC, I was intrigued with the kid's name, Dylan, as in Bob Dylan, and thought Dylan's song fit the story. I never said, suggested, or insinuated BU "lost out on him"...
From the thread, BU appeared to have talked to him, and one, or the other, or both, decided there wasn't a fit.
I guess I thought more would see the humor in the song parody, than reading more into it! What else would you expect from the instigator of haiku on the Forum last season?
