ESPN gives him a good grade.. and 85.

"March, 2010: Mills runs the floor well for his size and establishes early post position. Ben is a highly skilled post with the ability to pass and step up to the high post or short corner and knock down the jump shot. "

He has the size we need, hope he has the frame to add some bulk. Either way, it's great to hear we are on some big guys!

The kid is a hard worker and has great skills. He's quite thin. Could develop into a very good player. He helped lead his team to the state championship, and even upset the prohibitive favorite Madison Memorial team that had Marquette commit (and former Wisconsin commit) Vander Blue.

Hmmm interesting. Getting a rumored down low banger and a 7 footer would give us one guy with weight/muscle and another with height. We would certainly be solidified down low on top of JP being added.

But are we going after one or the other or could we get both of these big guys?? Cause while I would like getting both big men, I would also like to get either JW or a 3 point shooter like Brust or Henderson and we only have 2 openings. This kid sounds pretty good though and 7 feet tall is never a bad thing.

Ought to be an interesting signing period for BU! A lot of interesting possibilities with only 2 scholies.

The kid looks like something special. It would be extremely exciting to see him suit up in a BU uniform!

I would love to get this guy, but in addition to the well built post player. Not instead of him. If he is the third recruit it would be great.

My thoughts exactly. If JW is out, then I would be greatly satisfied with this guy or a shooter. I wish we could get all of the above though.

But we do need the guy with bulk first. A bulk guy with this 7 foot guy would make an us awfully impressive in the post.

Edit: Unless JP can fill the bulk guy role, then I would be happy with either or because 7'1 is impressive and he can step out and shoot a little mid range!

Iowa State seems to be trailing Bradley everywhere - now they're on a push to get Ben Mills

Ben Mills seems like he will be a poster child for a kid who could have a significant impact for a mid-major over the course of his career vs always being a 3rd/4th option at a BCS school. I would love to see him here on the hilltop. I look at how Patrick O'Bryant's career took off at Bradley and often wonder if that would have happened if he had chosen Michigan or Minnesota?

I agree PTown....seems like the kind of kid that could really do damage at a mid major by his junior or senior year.....I really hope we get this guy as well.....and you cant teach somebody how to be 7'1".
