Let's say they keep Bobby Hill, and land John Wilkins, and also they get Cousin, Kenyon Smith, and the rest of those guys expected back do indeed return..
Then ISU will have SIX junior college transfers (Hill, Hill, Lewis, JW, Cousin, Smith) and two more D-I transfers (Blue, Mishler) , and will have just gotten rid of Lloyd Phillips, Landon Shipley, Holloway, Sampay, Coates, Oguchi, and Odzic within the past year!!!
that's a grand total of EIGHT transfers on next year's roster, but a HUGE total of FIFTEEN transfers between the end of last year and the beginning of next year!!!!
That is assuming they don't land a couple more that we are yet to hear about
Practically an entire roster of transfers....so can there be any doubt...as to
who is Transfer U.??
Who cares?
They were better than us last year...they were better than us the year before...
So what is your point?
Actually, ER3... I found it interesting. Especially after people (see our local paper) were calling BU out for too many JUCO players (I think we had 3 at the time?)
Plus, as a BU fan, I enjoy any negative mention of isu. (That goes for basketball-related or otherwise...)
Finally, the commitment of Anthony Cousin of Butler Community College (Kansas) to Illinois State appears to be official- it is the headline artricle on JucoJunction.com (Rivals).- http://jucojunction.rivals.com/default.asp
"Anthony Cousin will play in the Missouri Valley Conference next season at Illinois State University. Anthony can really run a team well from the point guard position and e can score the ball when he has to," said Bargen.
Cousin will have three years to play for the Redbirds after being an academic qualifier coming out of South Kent School in Connecticut last season. Cousin played high school ball in Anchorage, AK where his father was in the military.
Cousin was a First Team All-Conference performer in the Jayhawk Conference this season along with 1st-Team All Region. Cousin averaged 12.2 ppg and 4.6 assists this season for the Grizzlies. Cousin received interest from UW-Milwaukee, San Diego, Bradley, Central Michigan and Appalachian State University before deciding on the Redbirds according to coach Bargen.
