  • New 09-10 bradley baseball recruits

The new 09-10 class of braves baseball recruits is outstanding. The kid from miami just made florida sportswriters 6a all state first team, along with miami herald all dade first team, miami herald 6a pitcher of the year and collegiate baseball high school all american on a national level. He also led his team to the florida 6a state championship this season.
Many 09-10 incoming bradley recruits have earned post season honors this season. What a super recruiting class!!!
Bradley baseball will soon be up there with the success and excitement of bradley basketball.
    Go braves!!!!!!

No disrespect meant toward prior coach Dewey Kalmer, but I have said before that I believe this is the best recruiting class in many years, maybe the best class in decades. Coach Dominguez had done a super job recruiting.
It remains to be seen if any of these outstanding pitchers and position players will be major leaguers some day, but I would not be surprised to many of them drafted in the next few years. I think we will also see Bradley in the College World Series soon, too.

          New kind of baseball

I agree completely and coach kalmer is definetly a legend in the mvc and has done a super job in the past, but there comes a time when new blood needs to re-jump a program and turn it around.

Like the saying goes "speed kills" and that is what this class has besides outstanding pitching. Coach d is going to cause all kinds of trouble on the bases and our pitchers will be strike throwing machines with a defense behind them that will take the worry out of pitching and defensive errors. Our pitchers will work fast, efficient with nasty stuff.

          Go braves!!!!

It is about time for BU to field a good baseball team as the facilities are 2nd to none, the weather is the only bad factor they have to deal with but it will prepare them to be able to play under any conditions.

I'd definitely enjoy having a good baseball team for a change....

Are they going to be really good this year or is it going to be a few years in the future?

                Bradley baseball players

The incoming class of bradley baseball will make an immediate impact. The players coming in will produce right away.
"talent plus hunger equals success" this 09-10 class is not only very talented but very hungry and will play with a "take no prisoners" attitude.
See the latest articles on gus dequesada (columbus miami recruit) and patrick cooper ( junior college recruit) on the bradley braves website. These guys are the real deal and legit.
                Go braves!!!!!!

The awards continue to roll in for Bradley Baseball recruit Gus DeQuesada. On Friday, the Miami Herald selected DeQuesada to the Florida 6A All-State First Team. A right-handed pitcher from Christopher Columbus High School, DeQuesada finished his senior season with a 10-1 record, including 96 strikeouts and a 1.75 earned run average. His only loss was a 4-3 decision in the 6A State Championship game.
