The commitment, which was confirmed by Threloff's traveling team coach and Rising Stars CEO Mike Weinstein, was made official tonight after Threloff attended Illinois State's Hoopsfest.

I really wanted Threloff at BU...he is a great recruit --but for the school I hate the most If we didn't get him, I certainly didn't want a Valley team to land him...sounds like academics were a big factor-

"even with threloff now in the fold, the redbird coaching staff is not necessarily done when it comes to recruiting the class of 2010. They would still very much like to land 6'8 forward phillip jackson from hyde park academy in chicago and there could be a way for them to have room for jackson despite their current scholarship situation. We will continue to watch that closely and could have more on that development in the near future."
