hmmm....those guys get around....
there is a current story up saying this...........
"July 6, 8a.m.
An 8 a.m. opener....Monday morning in Indianapolis.
Indiana Coach Tom Crean, Illinois Coach Bruce Weber and Iowa Coach Todd
Lickliter were among those on hand to see Coach Chris Hawkins’ 15-and-
under team cruise to an 89-41 win over the Peoria Irish at Arlington H.S.
In addition to that trio of Big Ten head coaches, staffers from Purdue,
Tennessee, Notre Dame, Butler and Xavier were also on hand."
BTW...Max Bielfeldt plays with the Peoria Irish
so how does Crean see a game in Indianapolis at 8AM, then get to Cincy to see a game at 10AM??Last edited by tornado; 07-06-2009, 01:12 PM.

Just got in from watching Ricardo play and he was very impressive.
He started out slow but finished with 23 of his teams' 51 points in the game I saw him. I didn't realize how strong he had gotten since last year until tonight. He took an absolute beating on drives to the rim but was still strong enough to hang and finish while getting the "and one." He showed the ability to knock down both the mid range jumper and the 3 ball. I believe he finished with four 3 pointers, including one where he got absolutely killed by the kid running at him and still made it. Needs to work on his ball handling a bit but he is quick off the dribble and was able to get to the rim anytime he wanted. What impressed me most was his versatility and ability to defend kids bigger than him on defense. He defended a 6'7 and 6'10 kid throughout the game when Pittman (6'8 ) wasn't in and more than held his own. His defense was very good. Made a few mental mistakes but overall was pretty solid.
BTW, Bradley had a black gentleman sitting two chairs down from me taking notes and watching Ricardo. Not sure of his name, but I'm sure a few of you should know who I'm speaking of. Bob Huggins of West Va. was also there to see Ricardo and Elijah Pittman.

"Ricardo Johnson looks like an impressive mid-major wing"
so I hope he picks the right mid-major
I spoke with several college coaches/scouts yesterday and all said the same thing....if Ricardo wants more exposure, he needs to play for a different coach or different team. Many of the scouts/coaches don't want to deal with the guy that coaches that team. Lack of basketball knowledge and a "me first" type of guy.
