  • CUBS SOX World Series

    SOX win SOX win.

    Cubs had their rally today.

What a great day for Chicago, what a great day for Illinois. Awesome that the NL Central and AL Central champs are from Chicago. I smell a rematch of 1906.

A great day for P Town's Jim Thome! He hung in there and was rewarded!
Sox Win, Sox Win Chi Town would never be the same if it happens, Sox /Cubs in the the World Series
There is no team in the the MVC that can match up to us the whole game, if our bigs come to play! BU will win the the MVC this year!

Yes, the offensive hero of the AL Central Championship is Peoira's own Jim Thome. Although, I give Danks the most cred. and A.J. was awesome (you know what play I mean)

You know what else is cool? Come Thursday we will have two Central Illinois guys in the contest obviously Jim Thome but also the very talented Ben Zobrist of Eureka!

      October baseball is fun.

A Sportsbook's odds on possible World Series Matchups:

        Cubs-White Sox: 23/1*

        Some other Futures.....

Odds Cubs win NL Pennant: 6/5

Odds White Sox win AL Pennant: 7/1*

Odds Cubs win World Series: 3/1*
Odds White Sox win World Series: 15/1*

        * (though these odds may change since Minnesota was still being considered for action)

Something tells me this will probably not be happening. Ohhh.....that was the Cubs' play that I was watching. At least they were the best team in the NL regular season. I just hope nothing out of the ordinary (goats, Bartman's, etc...) happens over these next couple games that causes the fans to blame their loss on.
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

From what I have seen nothing out of the ordinary for the Cubbies, bad pitching, no timely hitting, yep same old same old from the Cubbie Blue. 100+ years and counting will continue on for another year on the North Side. Oh ya and I forgot the best one 5 errors in two games.

                4 errors in 1 game.....

this why ST. Louis should ALWAYS represent the NL Central in the playoffs..the cubs and brewers don't know how to play playoff baseball.

That being said I'd still be happy with the cubs making the world series (& it's still possible)...I hate the Brewers way more than the Cubs.

Come on Cubbies represent the NL Central WELL!!

Not looking good! Cubs are playing horrible baseball and the White Sox still have a chance.

I also would not mind seeing Dodgers - Red Sox WS with Manny Ramirez hitting a game 7 winning HR. Could you imagine what the media would be saying? The new Red Sox curse!

I really do not care who wins I just want to see teams playing good solid baseball.

Every team can have a bad century, but leave it to the Cubs to extend it.

As Fox prepares for a World Series with Tampa Bay and Philadelphia, and probable low ratings, Kirk Wessler suggests in his blog that the Cubs should consider signing Manny Ramirez.--
