Claire Markwardt is a cross-country runner for her Berkshire, Ohio high school. Near the finish of the race her leg breaks, with both bones (tibia and fibula) in the lower leg shattering. The girl doesn't stop to cry, but tries to get back up and finish the race! The leg keep buckling, so she finally crawls to get across the finish line. This takes amazing courage and fortitude. Watch her leg as a race official tries to help her up.
