I applaud the move by these congressmen. Some may dismiss them as congressman sticking their noses into sports ... but I think that argument is a red herring. The BCS controlled NCAA is primarily focused on maximizing economic self-interest ... i.e., the BCS bowls are about making money, not determining champions. Congress has the same purview in this area as it does in any other U.S.-based business enterprise that attempts to restrict competition.
