Wow, the Bulls signed Skiles to a 4 year contract extension prior to the 2005-2006 season, which means he has almost 2 years left at $4 to $5 million a year.

There must have been some serious philosophical differences. Maybe this has something to do with Be Wallace. Skiles urged Paxson to sign him to a long term deal, and he has been a bust.

This is really surprising to me. What other coach is out there at this point who can help the Bulls? I don't know whose decision it was to draft Noah, but a Skiles wasn't given a lot of help on offense from their #1 pick this year.

It's apparent that the team has been underachieving this season, but which unemployed coach can turn the season around? Maybe Pax takes on the coaching duties also?

I think the contract will guarantee that Scott continues to get paid through the entire $16+ million, 4 year extension he signed in 2005. So maybe he will come out better in this that anyone.

Word is that Paxson's plan was to have Skiles finish the season, then re-assess things then. Jerry Reinsdorf, to everyone's surprise (including Paxson's) wanted Skiles out NOW. I hold Paxson accountable for this mess, obviously Jerry doesn't.
