Bradley Baseball appears to be loading up on local (Mid-Illini Conference) pitching in the current recruiting cycle. Washington senior Gus Lucas actually committed to Bradley more than 2 years ago, but last week, fellow Washington Panther, Easton Harris, announced that he would be playing at Bradley. And just yesterday, Morton junior lefty Tate Roley announced his commitment to Bradley. Coach Dominquez has always done a great job of keeping local talent home and playing for the Braves. Currently, Jackson Chatterton (Dunlap), Ryan Vogel (Metamora), and Taylor Catton (Dunlap) have been regular contributors with 2 other Mid-Illini alums Isaiah Gudeman (Morton) and John Day (Dunlap) on the roster.

For the record, the NCAA only allows a maximum of 11.7 athletic scholarships at the D1 level. Those 11.7 scholarships can be divided between a maximum of 27 players, and the roster cannot exceed 35 players (Bradley has 33 on their roster). Any player who receives scholarship money must get a minimum of 25% of a scholarship, so most are getting between 25% and 50% of a scholarship. It is uncommon for any player to get a full athletic scholarship.
So all D1 schools divide most or all of their scholarships. That makes it much more difficult for most private schools to compete, since their costs are much higher than state schools, and virtually all the players have to pay some or all of their costs.
Baseball is now 8-15, and 2-1 in MVC play. They won 2 of 3 over this past weekend at Illinois State - https://bradleybraves.com/sports/baseball/schedule
