I thought this might be a satire when I first saw it, but indeed it is true.
The International Olympic Committee ruled today that they recommend the addition of 4 new sports to be competed as medal events at the 2025 Olympics in Paris.
The IOC's executive board has recommended adding breakdancing, skateboarding, sports climbing, and surfing to the Paris program when the full membership meets in June. If it passes the full membership vote, a final decision must be made by the IOS's board in December 2020 after further monitoring of the four.

Looks like the tryouts will be starting soon.
What's next? Doubles breakdancing? Team breakdancing? Synchronized breakdancing? Long and short program breakdancing? Breakdancing with hoops, balls, or flags on a stick?
