The Today's Baseball Committee of the National Baseball Hall of Fame (part of what was formerly the Veterans Committee) elected 2 new member to the Hall of Fame yesterday.
Former Cubs closer Lee Smith and former White Sox slugger Harold Baines were elected, and will be inducted with next summer's class of 2019.
