Will all the rappers who use the same words be chastised by Sharpton and Jackson? I doubt it.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

          Does that make it right?

There are all kinds of insulting things on TV and radio....
and for years the liberals have said...."if you don't like it, turn it off".

And of course that's exactly what I have done...
why can't people just turn Imus off if they don't like him, or are these people such lilly-livered wimps that they feel so "hurt" by a few stupid words, and they have to form a vendetta?
Imus will now just move to another station and be more popular than ever, but all they've accomplished is they've exerted a vendetta against one and only one person.
They haven't done one thing to actually effect racism, not one thing.

Well I didn't think what Imus said was particularly racist becuase I didn't think of ho or nappy as relating to black specifically.

I dunno how I really stand on the thing. CBS/NBC all had a right to fire him, though I think they were forced to by media outcry. The only thing that bothers me about it is nobody goes after things said by a guy like Michael Irvin or whatever.

I agree with a guy they had on ESPN last night, who was saying something about how we just shouldn't be talking about race. If Don Imus is the standard, then there cannot be a double standard.

I'm not sure I think there should be any standard... it's not like a racist guy hiding it is any less racist, and if he said something at least we'd know he's an ***-bag.

I didn't say it made it right. It's just that there is a double standard when it comes what can be said.

                  Can you believe this?
Now the Rutgers basketball team is getting hate mail.
But I guess when you make this bog of a deal out of it, there'll always be a backlash.
