  • Bonds this year

so Barry has said he'd like to keep playing and try for 1,000 homers. sad that he is going to pass Aaron's record for dingers. well its possible to keep playing into your 40's when you are chemically enhanced big time. what a disgrace to my fav sport of baseball...

What is the status of his contract? Didn't baseball void the deal he signed with the Giants?
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

That is correct. It was voided due to some of the provisions within the contract:
Barry Bonds' agent said the player is not signing the new contract that the Giants have sent him.

well according to that article, the Giants just signed him for 07 w/ options on O8? but that writer made it seem that SF just wanted him for this year.

either way its going to be interesting to see if MLB embraces him when he approaches # 756
