Bradley baseball beat Indiana State Thursday night to go to 11-8 in the MVC. And they still had a chance with 2 more wins over Indiana State, and 2 losses each by ISU and DBU to end up in a tie for 1st place in the MVC. But the Braves lost their last 2 games to finish 11-10, and they fell to a tie for 4th place with Evansville. Bradley finishes the season 31-18, and 11-10 in the MVC. Because Bradley was 0-3 vs. Evansville, the Braves will be the #5 seeded team in the MVC Tournament that begins next Tuesday in Normal.

A very disappointing end to the 2019 Bradley baseball season, losing to the bottom seeded team in the 1st round of the MVC Tournament. (lost to #8 seed SIU, who was 5-16 and dead last)

I am not suggesting any changes, but I wonder what others think.
This was Coach Elvis Dominguez' 11th season at Bradley.

2016- 29-21 11-9- 3rd - 1st winning MVC season, 2nd winning season overall.
2017- 20-31 6-14- 7th (next to last)
2018- 32-19 11-10- 3rd
2019- 31-19 11-10 in regular season, - tied for 4th with Evansville; #5 seed for MVC Tournament - lost in 1st round to #8 seed SIU

you'd never know it reading the hype in the PJS but Bradley hasn't actually competed for a championship in baseball since Dewey Kalmer was coaching
...and that includes the past TEN years as the MVC got considerably weaker with UNI, then Creighton and then Wichita State all leaving
(UNI discontinued baseball).
