Just a little info in the paper today about Eureka College - one of our opponents last year...
some of this performance by the small Woodford County college are impressive..
Their President is also "stepping down (returing) and an interim has been named".
BUT - some facts that I found remarkable...
- Eureka College is little more than 1/10th as big as Bradley
Enrollment however has NOT been on the decline, in fact just this year alone it jumped from 664 to 695.
...and "possibly reaching 1,000 students" in the near future...
So the claim that all colleges are seeing enrollment declines is simply not true.
- Eureka has had "nine consecutive years of balanced budgets"
and in those nine years they have seen...
"nearly doubling of the college's endowment from $12 million to $20 million and nearly tripling of the college's total assets from $20 million to $57 million"...
"setting records when other institutions are struggling..."
