Bradley had a surprisingly good start to the volleyball season, winning their first 3 matches and 5 of their first six.
But after a 3-0 loss tonight at home to Loyola, Bradley has now lost their last 7 matches, and 6 of the last 7 losses were 3-0 sweeps.
Bradley is now 5-8, and 0-1 in the MVC.

It was Bradley's 8th straight loss, and 7 of them were 3-0 shutouts. Their season started 5-1, but they are now 5-9, 0-2.

Bradley volleyball played Indiana State at home tonight, but lost 3 sets to 0.
Unfortunately that is the 11th straight loss for BU, and the 8th in which they have failed to win a set. They drop to 5-12, 0-5.

Another loss at home for the BU volleyball team, this time to losing to a 12-13 Drake team 3-1.
Bradley's record continues to spiral downward after they started 5-1. They have now lost 13 matches in a row and are now 5-14, 0-7 and last in the MVC.

5-14, 0-7 this year (and that's with practically every match the past month at home, and now they hit the road)
2-26, 2-16 last year (7-40, 2-23 over past 2 seasons)
Head Coach Maurer is 41-91 in 4+ years at Bradley and came here just 40-71 in her stint at Lehigh - a pretty bad record for Bradley to go out and hire her here...

Another bad night for BU volleyball as they lose at Wichita State 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-21). Bradley drops their 14th match in a row, and they are now 5-15, 0-8.

There are reasons to be encouraged though. BU has recruited well enough, or at least certainly far better than in recent years.
Haslag, Turner and Thiele all have the chance to be really good front line players in the Valley.
I'm not sure about the coaching, but you're getting better talent.

Bradley volleyball loses again, another 3-0 shutout, their 15th loss in a row and 9th straight MVC loss. Their record is now 5-16, 0-9, and their individual and team stats are just plain ugly (hitting pct. 0.083).

Recall Dr. Cross' promise that he expected every team to be competing for championships, every year.

Loyola 3 BU 0. BU volleyball is now 5-17, 0-10 with a 16 straight losses (12 of them by shutouts) in this coach's 5th year.
Last year, this coach's 4th season, they were 2-26.

Looks like it could be years before we even start to see the damage done by President Glasser and her now-departed cronies begin to turn around.
I am sure all these inept coaches and players are real nice people, but if Bradley wants any of my money back again, and I gave them plenty prior to last year, more changes need to be made.

Here's my take- I trust the guy we have in charge now - we have every reason to after what we've seen already.
I think Dr. Chris Reynolds really will put significant thought, analysis, and consultation into any decisions then act if any coach fails to show they are worthy of the position..
He won't act recklessly, or fire people for purely personal spats or petty reasons - or make decisions and hoot about it being "a committee of one" coming up with this stuff out of the blue as we have seen all to often in the past several years - and he won't hire his old buds and wife's friends from the last place he worked either....and he won't sit, take notes - then do just the opposite when it really matters.
He will do it like the true professional he is and he will do a great job like he's already shown. That being said- why did we hire this VB coach in the first place when she's never had a decent season in her entire career - and never even had a winning season anywhere she's ever been?? Her career W-L record is abysmal and she's gotten almost all the wins she has against terrible competition.
