Hamels has walked 2 and struck out 12 in 8 innings so far. He is just 5-7 this season with a 3.67 ERA before this game. But he has reportedly been on the trade market the last couple weeks (the Cubs have been rumored to be interested), and this performance may have enhanced his value.
