Zach Johnson, a former Drake golfer who helped lead them to 2 MVC championships in the mid-1990's, just won the British Open in a 3-way playoff. He made some spectacular shots and putts down the stretch to pull into a tie for the 72-hole lead with Marc Leishman and Louis Oosthuizen, before winning in a 4-hole playoff. It is his 15th pro win and his 2nd major tournament (he won The Masters in 2007).
