Spencer Gaa is playing for Cotuit in the Cape Cod League - despite some nagging hamstring issues
he's batting .280

Elliott Ashbeck is playing in the Arizona rookie league
He's pitched in 6 games, all no-decisions - has an ERA of 3.72, averaging almost a strikeout per inning

Of interest - U of I's superstar and Big Ten POY Tyler Jay is also pitching rookie ball but is not doing so well.
Jay has 6 appearances, batters hitting .308 against him and his ERA is 6.35

Chris Godinez with Ogden Raptors, got off to slow start but has hit safely in 7 of the last 10 games, is hitting .220 and has excellent fielding stats -

BTW - the Major League Baseball All Star Game was last night and once again the ratings were down considerably over the year before...

Used to be everyone watched the All Star Game - but lots of factors playing into why fans don't seem to care.
If you recall the TIE they played a few years ago and of course you note that the stars only play a few innings then get yanked for more obscure players...
