  • OT - Interesting recruiting tool...

It's a recruiting tool we can use against Loyola, UIC & DePaul....

Here's a kid who had a tremendous scholarship to a school in Chicago but turned it down and chose Bradley instead...

...in order to get out of Chicago and the violence that exists there..
    read his story...

"Lander Braggs, a 17-year old African American high school senior .. recently gave up a chance to attend
a prestigious college in Chicago because of the city??™s violence.

...he turned down a full tuition $80,000 scholarship to attend the prestigious Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT)
because he fears becoming a victim of Chicago??™s inner city violence.

..???I??™m just thinking, like, I don??™t want that for me. I want to be able to just go through life and not have to worry
about what??™s going to happen to me tomorrow. With all that??™s going on in Chicago, with all the violence and everything
..I just wanted a different environment.???

This really isn't new. I remember Greg Jones stating he felt safer in Peoria than in Chicago. I think that is one of the reasons Greg and Jerry Thomas stayed in Peoria after graduation

wow - very sad news out of Chicago - especially in light of the police personnel being trashed by so many outspoken "leaders"....

      Memorial Day weekend in Chicago...
at least 56 people shot - a DOZEN reported KILLED

....then this.... "no arrests have been made..."

Baltimore reported 29 shootings and NINE deaths - compared to the same Holiday weekend interval in 2014 when there were zero shootings and zero deaths
May has seen 35 gunshot deaths in Baltimore in a single month...105 for the calendar year 2015 -
this has been the worst month and they're on track for the worst year in more than a decade & a half...
Gotta wonder if the politics, activism, and "protests" have made this far, far worse - with the very victims being those the protesters want protected!

Despite the unprecedented amount of violence and the number of street killings in Baltimore over the weekend, the mayor did not let all the mayhem in her city spoil her fun as she was seen in photos on twitter playing a game of cornhole and partying in the inner harbor...

one of Bradley's former recruits, Evan Gilyard just said that violence in Chicago affected his decision to play in Texas instead of stay locally...
Rated as a three-star prospect by recruiting analysts, senior point guard Evan Gilyard from powerhouse Simeon had multiple Division I programs from which to choose. He researched the typical criter…
