Two Missouri Valley soccer players taken in MLS Draft

Major League Soccer held their Superdraft yesterday but two more rounds will be drafted next week also...

SIUE had two players taken
-Matt Polster was drafted by the Chicago Fire with the 7th overall pick
-Christian Volesky was drafted by the Portland Timbers with the 32nd overall pick

BTW - not sayin' anything but....
SIUE's Athletic Director has done a tremendous job in their first few years in D-I and has a very impressive resume -
and by all reports is a highly motivated, successful, personable, and well-liked guy !!!

btw - no further MVC players taken in Rounds 3 & 4 of the draft but some of the new SIUE coach's players at Louisville were taken..
