Last night there was an announcement that Peoria Notre Dame high School would have a press conference for something important - then it was cancelled --
rumors are swirling of something up...
The noon WEEK news reports that there is currently a "sit in" being staged by students and parents to protest the abrupt dismissal of Principal Charlie Roy.
Too bad it wasn't more dramatic, like an all day 'study-in' by NDHS kids...
If ND HS has public administrators in addition to any priests/nuns running the HS, I hope any parents who show up, or, parents of kids involved with the sit in, throw their hat into the ring and step up and volunteer/run for office in the school's administration!
Easier to protest sometime than to have to make these decisions...
Looks like this was much ado about nothing. The principal was not fired or suspended, as some thought, but instead he resigned to take another job in California.
