Great win by the Bears today! 23-20 in overtime. Nice job by Josh McKown. The Bears go to 6-4 and into a tie with the Lions for 1st place in the NFC North.

I would say that it is debatable that the Lions are the better team.
Here is one of the many NFL Power rankings put out each week- they have the Bears at #8, and the Lions at #12-
Here is ESPN's- Bears are higher than the Lions-
And there are many others. But they almost all rank the Bears higher than the Lions-

I think we can all agree that Detroit has a terrific offense and an incredible defensive line (though they aren't completely healthy - Ansah) compared to a middle of the road Bears offense and a declining-aging defense that isn't effective when they're not getting turnovers. Power ratings aside, Detroit is a better team imo. However...they're not the most cerebral team in the league...players or coaches. AND, when Aaron Rodgers is healthy this discussion is moot because GB is the best team in the conference.Originally posted by Da Coach View PostComment

The Bears signed another player- this time OT Joe Long, a 6'5", 304 pound offensive tackle off the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad. He was signed to a 2 year contract suggesting the Bears may think he has potential to stick with the team. He is a brother of Rams OT Jake Long, but not related to Bears OG Kyle Long or Rams DE Chris Long.
