I really don't know what to think......been a while since I've been excited about any hiring until they put some players to coach on the field and be excited about!

As always, I am hopeful. old codger piniella wasn't the right guy, old nice guy quade wasn't a good fit, young hip Sveum was a bust. Not sure what kind of guy it is going to take.

I wanted Mike Maddux to get another shot as a guy who is great with pitchers and an organization short on pitching, but Cubs weren't interested this time. After him I liked Torey Lovullo. Recent news says they didn't even bother to ask permission to talk to him when it was originally reported they were denied permission to talk to him. I think a guy who just won a World Series would be more exciting than a guy who has only been part of one team with a winning record as a player or coach and never made the playoffs, but I guess we will see. He is getting great reviews from players, so I'll give him a shot.

Didn't get to see your post on their uniform Chico. I think the post held on because the Cubs have been crap the last few years and there's no reason to delete something when it's so true. As a die hard Cubs fans I hope the new manager can help but unless some major improvements happen they will lose over 90 games again this coming season.

Agree 100%. Same thing with my post. All I said was no matter who the manager is the players will still be wearing Cub uniforms. Why should that have been deleted? If the mods are going to delete they should let the poster know why.
