I don't really follow MVC football...but I thought I'd go ahead and post the link to the MVC football web site for anyone who didn't know
that all other sports use the same website except.....football..........they have a separate site...

The official athletics website for Missouri Valley Football Conference

I noted that the two teams that sit atop the MVC standings are North Dakota State & Youngstown State - two teams that are not Valley teams in any other sport...

All the rest of the usual MVC teams like ISU, SIU, UNI, etc...many of whom were ranked way higher, are no higher than .500 and way back in the middle to bottom of the pack in the MVC
In fact, the rest of all the usual MVC teams (ISU, SIU, MSU, UNI, InSU) have a pretty miserable combined record of 11-16 overall!

Kind of unfair to lump UNI in with "pretty miserable" when they are 4-1 with a win at BCS Iowa State and the only loss was by one point at #1 ranked NDSU last week.

Yes, UNI seems to be the exeption to the poor seasons most of the other traditional Valley football schools are experiencing so far. North Dakota State and Youngstown State have been very good so far. Otherwise it has been a disappointing season for several Valley teams who had high expectations.

Here is an early season FCS Top 25 ranking, and 4 (or 5, depending on which poll) MVC teams were ranked in the Top 25 (North Dakota State, South Dakota State, UNI, Illinois State, and Youngstown State), and a total of 9 of the 10 teams received some votes (SIU, South Dakota, Indiana State, WIU) .

Now there are only 3 teams ranked (ND State, YSU, and UNI), and of the other 6 teams that were either ranked or got multiple votes in the polls, all have dropped completely out, except SIU who got 1 single vote.
The Division I Football Championship Committee has revealed its in-season top-10 rankings of the FCS teams.
