Bears sign veteran quarterback Trent Edwards

The Bears' 3rd string quarterback Matt Blanchard was injured (fractured hand) in Thursday night's preseason exhibition game. So they made a move they should have made earlier, IMO, by signing a veteran backup quarterback with starting experience in the NFL, Trent Edwards.
