  • The Unthinkable Has Happened

I never thought in a million years I would say this, but, the Giants are now one of the worst teams in the NL right now, and, WORSE THAN THE CUBS!

In fact, it's as if the two organizations have traded identities...

The Giants have mailed in this season and don't seem to give a d***!

To add injury to insult, they get beat tonight by a guy they got rid of, Nate Schierholtz, who has better stats than any of the OFs the Giants have on their roster now.

They can't hit, can't field, only have 2 starters who can pitch, their bullpen
is overrated, they run the bases like Tee Ballers.... no discipline, no pride, no nothing..

They are still drunk on their miracle World Series run last year and believe the press clippings about how good they are.

If I am President and GM, I back up the truck and clean out the dugout, and get ready for 2015.... Re-load their dreadful minor league system with better prospects and dump, among others, Lincecum, Sandoval, Vogelsong, Zito, Pence, Pagan, Torres, Francouer, Blanco and Tanaka... Get the best prospects or younger players that you can and start over.

PS Cubs are looking like they will be relevant again in the future. MLB pundits are predicting they will be a top NL team with in 3-4 seasons.

The Giants are suffering from a similar malady as the White Sox. They lead their division for most of the season last year, were the top fielding club last year, have great pitching and were thought to be contenders this year. But virtually every position player is having their career worst year at the plate and with fielding the ball. The Giants also seem to be having a large number of guys having sub-par seasons at the same time. Both teams will bounce back.
The Cubs will get better, but their pitching is still a worry, and their higher minor league teams have a lot of good position players, but are nearly void of good young pitchers. So I still think they are a few years away.

At least you guys don't have to deal with the emmotional roller coaster of a team with an excellent post season opportunity, and aren't on the road trip of death.

First team (cards) since 2004 (first NL team since 1963!) to have an 11 game road trip against teams all at least 12 games over .500...

got swept this weekend...it could get ugly.

talk about unthinkable - anyone surprised any more by this??

That virtually everything you or I ever write, view, or transmit here or anywhere on the internet, search for in any way on the internet, say in e mails, by text messages, even the addresses & phone numers any of our letters and calls go to are being scanned, looked at electronically, and then stored for later use at any time for the government's discretion....

This morning, the NY Times’ Charlie Savage broke yet another story concerning the NSA domestic surveillance efforts, revealing that… the NSA does a scan of every email going in or out o…

personally. I don't care what the government scans of mine because I have nothing to hide...therefore they will never have to address it.

well, me either - but even if I have nothing to fear myself...
I do believe in the Constitution and its guarantee from unreasonable searches.....
which every legal expert would agree should protect us from having our private conversations & emails monitored and stored.

and I can see the incredible abuse the government could cause when and if they want to...such as having the IRS harass political enemies...
              ..
If you private thoughts and messages were to be made public as has also happened - there could be immense potential harm...
everyone could know everything on anyone....

Forget spying, I've been hijacked! :-)

How dare someone jump shift this thread to politics during my 'Giants stink' rant?

I just might have to turn someone in to the NSA.

PS The SF Giants continue to stink.. Embarrassing..
