In the last 6 years, Bradley has hired new head coaches in ...
Men's sports:
baseball
men's basketball
men's cross country
men's golf
men's tennis - and now hiring once again for men's tennis
men's track (same as cc, and not counting indoor separate from outdoor)
Women's sports:
women's basketball
women's cross country (same and men's cc)
women's golf
softball
women's tennis - and now hiring once AGAIN for women's tennis
women's track (same as cc)
volleyball
so...13 different sports - 15 different hires will have been made...
THE ONLY SPORT NOT HIRED WITHIN THE PAST 6 YEARS is soccer...
Of the 13 hires made in the past 6 years - which have been successful?
There will be arguments but judging by which have been in contention for championships- none..
Sure, soccer is successful but it's the only sport not overhauled recently...
Just about every other sports is floundering in the lower half of the Valley.
Softball had one "lightning in a bottle" NCAA appearance in 2009 and no success since...
Basketball pulled up out of 10th place (we had the #8 seed this past season) ...
I gotta say -The goal that we will compete regularly for championships in every sport has yet to be fulfilled......
We are fortunate to have the fan following and donor support we have but sooner or later - we gotta get going and win somewhere

Here is the process that was once described that is used to evaluate the head coaches and do the hiring & firing.
I guess we can assume the other sports are safe - or we would likely have heard about it by now in baseball or other sports..
"There are five components to the process:
1. The educational experience of the athletes.
2. Living within your budget and being part of the process to enhance
those resources.
3. Team environment, which includes off-court behavior, transfers in and
out. More specifically, Cross said, “Is there constant angst every other day,
are you constantly dealing with crises, or is there a stable, values-based
culture that everyone is comfortable with and Bradley would expect?”
4. Compliance with NCAA, conference and university rules, and with
federal, state and local laws
5. "The extent to which you’re competing for championships,” Cross said.
.. an opportunity to win and ultimately do two things — give our athletes a
great educational experience and give them the opportunity to have a
championship experience? Those are the two overarching pieces that go
above the evaluation.”
... a more important assessment is whether the Braves compete for a
Valley title. Really compete."
