I enjoyed this article on Chicago Bears broadcaster and commentator Hub Arkush..

Arkush & his family have produced & published a weekly pro football magazine -
Pro Football Weekly for almost 50 years...

Then after nearly 5 decades of success - A national publishing company acquired the publication...changing it to a mostly online presentation and only a few features in print....
Then, within a couple years, despite investing MILLIONS to keep the operation running - now it's going to fold...
Arkush was bought out - so he's not hurt that badly, although he was still running the operation so he's out of a job.

Arkush is still very busy doing a number of TV, radio, and print jobs covering NFL football, and other sports.

The quality of the Pro Football Weekly Draft Guide (which was their mainstay and revenue driver) had slipped in recent years. You would frequently find contradictory information about players and flat out mistakes. That didn't stop the price from going up, though. Anyway, I'm sure the Arkush boys, Hub, Arthur and Dan will land on their feet as they are all multi-millionaires. Not so sure about Nolan Nawrocki, however.

Approaching 5k lawsuits related to concussions, wrongful death and miscellaneous. Some of it legit....some of it just former players jumping on the bandwagon taking advantage of NFL's deep, deep pockets.
