BU baseball goes down 10-5 in opener
John Koch, Bradley Wallace and Levi Shordon combined to break ASU's strikeout record, which was previously set at 18 against Memphis in 1995 and Kansas State in 1960.  Koch was responsible for a career-high 11, winning-pitcher Wallace accounted for seven and Shordon closed the game in the ninth inning with one strikeout.

    BU WBB loses 70-45

a lot of baseball games all across the mid-south are being cancelled due to the storms...
Bradley is scheduled to play two games tomorrow - then again on Saturday & Sunday in Memphis, but...
Memphis has been under a winter weather alert with temperatures in the low 30's, sleet, freezing rain, & snow

...currently it is 37 degrees and they're having a thunderstorm...but they are expecting better weather tomorrow and for the weekend...

BU has gotten off to a very slow start - outscored 32-8 in a 3 game series vs. Arkansas State who was picked 5th in the Sunbelt preseason poll.

Bradley is playing in Nashville, TN at Lipscomb not Memphis...
and they are currently in the 9th inning -
Bradley is down 7-4 to Ball State....as soon as this game is over Bradley plays a
          second game today against Lipscomb

Bradley has hit well - and have 10 hits but 11 LOB

They are having to many errors. They would be winning some of these games if it weren't for the errors.

Braves fall to 2-6 with tough loss in Las Vegas but they played fairly well
LAS VEGAS ? Bradley banged out 10 of its 11 hits in the final three innings, but the Braves were unable to dig out of an early hole in an 8-6 loss at UNLV Thursday night.

interesting story on Towson baseball - they did not want to display their team's name today when they played & covered it with duct tape

Towson has run out of money and is cutting baseball and men's soccer - police had to escort the University President as there was a bit of controversy..

I guess a case of the inmates running the asylum - if the Prez at Towson had any guts
she'd cancel the rest of the season and revoke every one of those players' scholarships.

I noted there hadn't been much talk on BU baseball after a decent start...but then also noticed why...
BU fell to 1-14 in the Valley after getting swept again, this time by ISU...what is going on - we get stellar players every year - supposedly good recruiting classes??

This is what happens when the University President wants to run the show by herself instead of letting the people do their job. I heard the committee picked a guy from Iowa and she overruled them and picked her friend from Eastern Kentucky. She needs to stick to her duties and let other people do theirs

Certainly the baseball team has been disappointing this year. That being said, for the sake of clarity, Dominquez was a top assistant at Creighton and was then on the Iowa staff before taking the EKU job. He had very good credentials prior to becoming a head coach.
