The current state of Bradley baseball is more than disappointing. Last place in year 5 without ever posting a winning record, is not acceptable.

I have seen their win loss record tilt to the unacceptably wrong side. Wow, in MVC standings, it is embarrassing after year 5. This program must have the administration worried?
I wonder how many other programs, at year 5, and given results in years 1-4 would still have the same coach at BU.

Thus it is disheartening that we're now plummeting to the 300 RPI range with continued losing.
I believe the MVC had 3 teams in the NCAA last year (we actually had a 4th because Dallas Baptist played the whole season as an associate MVC member then made the NCAA as they changed conferences)
...we're a good league and we need to make some changes to get back "into it"..
BTW - his record as a head coach was sub-.500 when hired here, and meanwhile the other two top candidates for the BU job are now at ISU & InSU respectively and have those programs kicking our butts and making the NCAA
I just don't want to see this happening in every sport

Towson has run out of money and is cutting baseball and men's soccer - police had to escort the University President as there was a bit of controversy..
I guess a case of the inmates running the asylum - if the Prez at Towson had any guts
she'd cancel the rest of the season and revoke every one of those players' scholarships.
they went on to win their conference tournament and play in the NCAA Tournament!!!

Valley snubbed again --
ISU won 39 games, they won the MVC regular season race,
had one of their best seasons ever - made it all the way to the Championship game but..
they did NOT receive an at large bid to the NCAA Baseball Tournament...
This is a bad snub - especially when the 8th & 9th best team in some conferences got at large bids - plus Liberty, Mercer, San Francisco, Sam Houston State, Santa Barbara, Troy, Florida Atlantic, and Louisiana-Lafayette (4th best in Sun Belt!!)

schools like Rice & Fullerton State surely can't be recruiting paradises and we know how much budget problems the Calif. system has..
so - someone answer me this??
How is it that those programs make it not just to the College World Series but they regularly kick butt and win TITLES?
I think the answer is quite clear - they have fine leadership from the top down, a commitment to win, and good coaching

Brad Canada's letter (also signed by 28 other former BU baseball players) was extremely well thought out, researched, and written. Strange that it is not posted online.
A friend of mine had a copy of the letter a couple weeks ago and read it to me. I hope the Board and President act on the urging of these loyal BU grads and do something before Bradley Athletics falls any further and becomes any more of an embarrassment.

Brad Canada's letter was well thougt out, but in the article by Dave areynolds he could have not said a couple things. He says he doesn't want anybody to lose their job because him and Elvis are both family guys. Then he talks about running him out of town. What part of illegal don't you understand?

It seems the sentiments are more that he should never have been hired for the job in the first place, and that he was not as qualified as other legitimate candidates.
