    Only the rich could afford a no pay job but I'd be for eliminating their federal perks of health care and pension plan. This way they would not feel like Social Security is an entitlement and perhaps they would feel the pain most Americans feel with our health care costs and try to make the system for efficient. I'd also love to see term limits of some sort along with election funding reform. We still have a massive special interest problem.

    In short though more Americans need to become engaged at an earlier time during the election cycle so the extreme members of the parties do not dictate the candidates being presented to us to be voted for the Presidency or Congress.

      Getting rid of the pay would remove most of the population from attempting to reach office. As well, removing compensation is generally not a great way to reduce corruption.
