Sherrick McManis, a former Peoria Richwoods and Northwestern grad, and now a special teams players for the Chicago Bears, was named the NFC Player of the Week for his blocked punt that lead to a Bear's touchdown. Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher was the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.-

If McManis doesn't make that block, the Steelers score 3 and the Bears get nothing before the half ended, and then likely the Bears lose the game.
