Why? What has Obama done that warrants four more years?
I could cite other examples, but I think that former Republican Susan Eisenhower eloquently addresses the reasons why people like myself have fled the Republican party as well as reasons for President Obama's reelection.
Four years ago, I left the Republican Party of which I was a lifelong member and became an independent.

That comment was made out of pure shock that even though a consensus of Americans thought the country was headed in the wrong direction, absolutely NOTHING changed. Dem. President, Republican House, Dem. Senate. That and two of the three local races I was following turned bad.

One thing that I will add is that I think the campaign strategy of this election will be studied for a long time especially when people like Nate Silver and Sam Wang forecast correctly all 50 states in their models.

Can't wait to see the vote break out on how the 47% ers voted....and what % of the total vote they represented.
But of course, the liberal, Dem championing National Media will never report on this very accurate prediction by Mitt.
Mitt needs to just shut up IMO and I believe most Republicans agree. Where Mitt loss was not with the minority votes because that was going to happen but with the young women. Until the Republicans create a platform which the majority of women can digest they'll continue to lose this segment overwhelmingly. Problem is that the religious right are so adamant about their stance that they cannot find a way to reword their anti-abortion stance.
BTW...There will be a compromise in DC to avert the fiscal cliff witch I'm betting those making over $250 K will be paying higher taxes and the Republicans will get some sort of entitlement reduction.

Think we all know that he meant 47% wouldn't vote him anyway so work on the other 53%. Can't tell me that when 94%, many of who have never voted before and might not again, vote a certain way that wasn't the difference.

Regardless Obama won and the country spoke. That is how democracies work. Sorry to say Romney is acting like a very sore loser and is not helping the process forward. Those that you say will not vote again, I would not hold my breath on that. Empowerment is a very powerful political tool. If you think that they will relinquish it you are as well as the Republican Party not dealing with reality.
I'm not a Obama supporter but the one mandate he does have and IMO, the only one, is that he can abolish the Bush taxes for those making over $250 K. I also have an issue calling a few of the federal programs Entitlements. Last I knew you, me and a ton of other working Americans have been funding these programs for quite some time.

Why didn't 94% vote before but voted the last 2 elections? Don't think I need to answer that question. What would make them vote again? Don't think I need to answer that one either. I am dealing with reality by facing facts.
I don't call something I paid into for many, many years an entitlement either.
