Love this trade for the cubs if it goes through. Haren should be very solid coming back to the NL. I think a Haren and Garza one two punch would be pretty competitive. -

I have to agree that this is a + trade for The Cubs. Anytime you get a possible front line starter for a reliever it a plus. Haren is a good pitcher and he should be an upgrade to their staff."Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

This is a great trade but if we would have gotten Bobby Schantz for Marmel it would have been a great trade. Now I hope they go get Dempster to go along with Gaza and Haren. Off to a good start.Oh by the way we might as well get Tori Hunter also.Comment

I bet the Giants trade B Wilson instead of having to pay him big $$ next season to keep him.... Only trouble is, I don't think the Cubs have anything the Giants would be interested in.... Would have to be a 3 way trade with some other team.BUilding for the Future

I'm not sure if he'll be movable until he proves that his surgery was a success.
