Amazing 10th touchdown by a defensive player in last 20 games. This time Tim Jennings (who HAS to make the pro-bowl) is the thief. Question is: Are the Bears lucky or good? Or both? My view is that it's nice to see younger players (Jennings, Conte, Wright, Paei, McClellen) filling around an aging defensive core that's well past the wrong side of 30.

You can't say they are lucky, it is a whole team effort, and they are making the plays. They have gotten some "breaks", but the players made a lot of them happen. The only major weakness is the Oline but few teams have a good one. The Bears are pretty good.Thinking is the hardest work, that is why so few people do it. -Henry Ford

The 2001 Bears were lucky. The 2006 Bears were good and the 2012 Bears are good. Did the bears eke out a close victory against a weak team Sunday? Yes, but they've blown some people out. This defense is performing a bit better than the 2006 version (which was elite)-- 14.3 pts/g vs 15.9 pts/g so far. The offense is much MUCH better, even with the questionable line and despite almost identical numbers through the first 7 games... Cutler > Grossman, Marshall > any WR in Bears history, and Forte > Thomas Jones. The line is a big problem, as is Cutler's holding the ball too long, but they were problems for the 2006 team also.
There's a lot of football left to play and injuries could mess it all up at any time, but this is could be a special year.

Their next 5-7 weeks will tell much more....???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Staying healthy, having a top QB, a D that can keep you in the game and momentum is key the NFL. The Giants were far from the best team in the regular season last year and look where they finished. Were they lucky or peaked at the right time? We'll find out shortly how good this team really is. ESPN has their power ranking and I pretty much agree. http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings/_/year/2012/week/9"Educate and inform the whole mass of the people...they are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty."

And for those who think Lovie's system never changes or adapts: here's a neat article that illustrates how the addition of one asset on the d-line is changing the way the Bears play D. http://www.windycitygridiron.com/201...-boise-package
