  • Cowboys stampeded by...Bears

Great win last night for Monday Night Football!
I only saw the 1st and 4th Q's, which were quite different - Bears looked much looser (obvious from a big lead at that point in 4th Q).

This is a big game coming up vs. Jax - need to beat the weaker teams on the road, and we should take care of biz at home.

Our defense has been a pleasant surprise - after Game 1, we've been pretty fierce on D!

Jay Cutler has his share of detractors. But I think we finally are beginning to see that if he is given some decent receivers (his first couple seasons with the Bears, they had the worst receivers in the NFL), and a decent offensive line for protection (the OL has also been undeniably among the worst in the NFL), that he is among the best quarterbacks in the NFL. I wonder why these issues weren't fixed in 2010 or 2011.

He had learned how to deal with the poor OL and seemed to be doing alright with the recievers back before he got injured last season. He stopped trying to force throws and started throwing the ball away. I was scared the first two games this year because he started reverting back to his old ways of all those bad habits, but after last night and hopefully after Jacksonville he'll keep it up! Just needed a few paddy cake teams to loosen him up!

Cutler is still a headcase no matter how you dice it. I always wonder which Cutler is going to show up in a game. There is no doubt he has one of the best arms in the game and has the ability to be great but I'm always wondering when he'll do or say something really stupid. I hope its just a process of maturity and the best is yet to come.

I also hope the D will hold up for the whole year. One thing about football is that age always has a way lifting its ugly head. There are not to many players that have beaten back the clock and the Bears D is not young.
