Former Bradley star pitcher Rob Scahill has spent parts of 6 seasons in the Major Leagues for the Colorado Rockies (the team that drafted him out of Bradley in 2009), the Pittsburgh Pirtates (where he had a couple of his best seasons), and the Milwaukee Brewers in 2016 & 2017.
This afternoon, he signed a contract for 2018 with the Chicago White Sox. It is officially a minor league contract, but with the shallow bullpen pitching staff of the rebuilding White Sox, I believe it is very likely he will end up seeing major league playing time in 2018. This is great for Rob! He is from Lombard, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, and went to Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL.
Right-handed reliever Rob Scahill has agreed to a minor league contract with the White Sox, reports Jon Heyman of FanRag …
