Ever see the TV commercials about the folks who drive hundreds of miles to get to the closest Taco Bell just to eat their favorite food - including the new Doritos taco?
well here's a story about an alternate version - a small town in Alaska was hit with a campaign of posters & flyers...followed by comments on the radio....that they'd soon be getting a Taco Bell in town...
It became the hottest topic and people really had their hopes up...until it was discovered to be a hoax....not true.
Anyway -- just to show how successful one single marketing idea can be -- anyone wanna guess how much Taco Bell profits jumped after introducing their Doritos Taco and their "Live mas" slogan?
Their profits were up 73%
I'd be for opening one inside Renaissance Arena for home games...
